This policy explains what information we collect when you use DFinePrint, how we use it, who we share it with, and the controls you have over it.
Account information. When you sign up, our authentication provider (Clerk) collects your email address, name (if provided), and authentication credentials. We receive a unique user identifier and your email from Clerk.
Documents you upload. Acquisition documents you upload (PDFs such as CIMs, financial statements, tax returns) are stored on our servers and processed to produce analyses for your account.
Analysis results. The text and structured output our system produces from your documents — summaries, valuations, red-flag lists, deal-structure breakdowns — are stored in your account.
Usage data. We log technical events such as job IDs, processing timestamps, credit transactions, and error traces to operate and improve the Service.
Payment metadata. Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive the payment status, amount, and a Stripe customer identifier. We do not see or store your full payment card number, expiration, or CVC.
We do not sell your documents or analyses. We do not use them to train third-party AI models.

Each of these processors has its own privacy practices. Where possible we choose providers with privacy commitments compatible with this policy.
We retain account data, uploaded documents, and analyses for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may delete individual business groups and documents from your dashboard at any time. When you close your account, we delete or anonymize your data within 30 days, except where we are required to keep records for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.
We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit (TLS) and at rest (encrypted volumes). Access to production systems is restricted. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

We use cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in (via Clerk), to remember your preferences (such as dark mode), and to support basic operational analytics. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
The Service is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
Our infrastructure is hosted in the United States. By using the Service from another country, you consent to the transfer and processing of your data in the United States, which may have different data-protection rules than your country of residence.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, communicated by email or in-app notice.
